Thrasher Termite and Pest Control, Inc.It is fairly common for a termite inspection to be ordered as part of a real estate transaction. We recommend that the inspection be ordered by the listing agent prior to the house going on the market. This way the listing agent and the sellers are aware of the condition of the house as it relates to any possible termite infestations and/or damage.

When a potential buyer presents an offer you already know if you are going to include, exclude or limit the amount of the Section 1 termite work. During 2007 we noticed a lot of listing agents ordered the termite inspection and then had us do all Section 1 work prior to the house going on the market. This made the house more attractive to potential buyers and helped the property sell more quickly. However, you decide to handle the sale of the home it always better to be informed.

When you order a termite inspection we will send one of our professional state-licensed inspectors to your home. He will conduct a thorough and honest inspection of your property. We inspect the interior, the exterior, the attic and the subarea (if applicable). We are looking for drywood termites, subterranean termites, wood destroying beetles, fungus damage, dry rot, moisture conditions, earth-to-wood contact conditions, faulty grade conditions, leaks, etc. After the inspection is completed you will receive a comprehensive, typewritten report outlining all of our findings and recommendations (usually within 24 to 48 hours).  There will be a cost associated with the treatments and/or repairs that are outlined in the report. If you are interested in scheduling any treatments and/or repairs, you simply call our friendly office staff and they will set up an appointment for our termite technicians to return to the property and complete the work. If you are not interested in doing any of the work, no problem. You are under no obligation to do any of the work outlined in the report.

Our inspectors, our office staff and our termite technicians are all well trained, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to answering any questions you might have. We understand that a real estate deal can sometimes get stressful. We want to help in any way that we can to streamline this part of your transaction. Just ask! We will go the extra mile to help you during this time.
